Week 24 | Blue Hour.

When I first began my photography journey, everything I read or watched led me to believe that there were rules about light....soft, even light ONLY...and for goodness sake, do NOT have an ISO above 400!!  What I discovered is that is incredibly limiting.  I found freedom in pushing the limits of my camera and my creative ability.  And guess what else I found....my artistic voice.  I found it in low light situations.  I discovered that there is magic happening all day and if I never pushed my ISO past 400, I would not have the memories on my wall that I do now.  This week, the theme was Blue Hour, which is that magical time after the sun sets.  This is one of my favorite times to shoot, and I often linger in a client session 20-30 minutes past the sun setting to work with my favorite type of light.  For those of you who are still scared to break the rules, or maybe you are scared of some grain...don't be!  Trust me on that.  And now, here's the good stuff.
